Uniform
Presentation
At Rosa Street, we take pride in our appearance and want all children to feel proud to be part of our school community. We ask for parents’ support in helping us maintain high standards by ensuring that children come to school appropriately dressed and presented.
Please avoid brightly coloured hair, extreme hairstyles, or clothing with inappropriate slogans. Make-up, including nail varnish, should not be worn in school.
School Uniform
Our school colours are navy, blue and white. Children are expected to wear a navy jumper or cardigan and a blue or white shirt, with black or grey trousers or skirt. Plain black shoes are encouraged. Trainers may be worn, provided they are plain black with no coloured or white logos or markings.
Uniform items displaying the school logo can be ordered online from our supplier, Cre8ive Graphics. Orders can be delivered to school or directly to your home. School-coloured items are also widely available from local supermarkets and high-street shops.
P.E. Kit
Children need a change of clothing and footwear for P.E. lessons.
-
Indoor P.E. can sometimes take place in bare feet.
-
For outdoor P.E., appropriate footwear is essential, especially during the summer term.
P.E. kits should be brought to school on Monday and taken home for washing each Friday.
A school P.E. kit is available from our supplier and includes a t-shirt, shorts and gym bag. Alternatively, any plain t-shirt and shorts are acceptable as long as they are suitable for physical activity. Strappy tops and football shirts should not be worn.
Please make sure all clothing, including coats and shoes, is clearly labelled with your child’s name so that any lost items can be returned quickly.
Outdoor Clothing
We make full use of our outdoor spaces in all weathers, so children should have a suitable coat and a pair of labelled wellies that can be kept at school. We encourage outdoor play – and sometimes this means children may come home a little muddy!
Jewellery
For health and safety reasons, jewellery should not be worn in school. A simple wristwatch is permitted. If children have pierced ears, they may wear small studs, but they must be able to remove them independently for P.E. lessons.
