Brief details: Having lived in Spennymoor most of my life it gives me great satisfaction to serve as a member of the governing body at the school which I attended when I was a child. I joined the governing body in 2016 as a parent governor when my youngest daughter was in her final year and currently have the responsibility for Safeguarding and GDPR with a link role in ICT. As a parent governor I know how important the role of school governor is to the school and more importantly the children that it educates. Having worked in local government for over 30 years, currently Schools ICT Manager at Durham County Council, I am constantly looking to use the management and ICT skills I have gained over the years to assist the school in moving forward. I fully support the excellent work carried out by the Head Teacher and her team in delivering the School curriculum and look forward to working with the team and the school governing body for the remainder of my term.
