It is my pleasure to join Rosa Street Primary School as a Community Governor and Chair.

I was a governor of a nursery whilst my children were small and more recently decided to become involved with the Developing Futures Programme to support young people.  Thereafter I received requests from schools and notifications asking for interested parties in becoming a School Governor at Rosa Street. My background consists of 24 years in the NHS in a variety of management and administration services e.g.; leading and facilitating culture and service redesign in a variety complaints and engagement roles.  As a qualified Coach I have a passion for supporting and seeing people thrive and aspire, particularly young people.

The role of Chair is new and varied and I am developing and learning alongside the other parent and community governors. I feel privileged to work alongside fellow Governors, Staff and the Head Teacher too actively to work together with parents, and the Board, to facilitate meaningful improvements for pupils and staff alike. If you would like to discuss my role please don’t hesitate to contact me.  If interested parents want to become more involved with the school as a Governor, I would say it is a real opportunity to make for you to make a ‘local’ difference to your school.
