Brief details: We have 1 daughter in Rosa St school and two that are now at secondary school.  I have volunteered in school and taken part in fundraising activities since our eldest started the school in 2013. I work as a Speech and Language Therapist in the Weardale area supporting children with speech and language needs in primary schools and nurseries. My knowledge of speech and language development and working with children with special needs helps in my monitoring of SEND provision in school. I volunteered to be a governor in order to support the school and to help to give a parents’ perspective on the school’s strengths and areas for improvement.
